This is a poem I wrote about our soldiers fighting war each and every day

Died Alone

In a foreign place you died alone
The battles over your heading home
Your families sadness with subside
Knowing you did what you loved when you died
You died alone so we could be free
Your family will make those who doubt see
Your family so proud of your sacrifice
They are sad it cost you your life
No one will ever forget what you did
Your friends will always remember you as kids
In a foreign land you died alone
The battle is over your on your way home
To your final resting place you shall be placed
Calm, serene green pasture is your space
Your headstone reads" Loving son, and husband and Marine"
People will know you died following your dreams.
