MIND NOT THERE

You say your life span is almost up
I think that you have personally just given up.
You are angry as I hand you the paper cup.
You look at me with disgust
I do my best to help you adjust
Encourgment and kindness is the best I can do
I wish I could help you not be so blue
Depression so severe that I don't know how to help
I know I don't understand the pain you felt.
Losing your toes in not what you wanted
But it will save your life.
My heart breaks that I can help end your strife.
You won't listen to reason, because your mind is not there
I don't know how to show you that we care.
We keeping pushing foward and hopefully you will understand in your own way
I know there is nothing left to say.
At 91 years old you know your life will end one day.
Until the time I will keep you well.
I know you will tell me to go to hell
That's okay, I take no offense
Unfortunately I know you are not making sense
When its your time you will cared for til the end.
