as a prompt, i was asked to compose a poem in my favorite form. i don't have a favorite form, i write in unstructured free-verse. so, i was asked to write something with a structure. this is what i came up with, it is my invented "form."

wintertime death

winter winds
and
no snow
here,
floridian flowers
wilt,
they decay
and
i die
in
backwoods shack

Interesting. It portrays a mood very well.

This is beautiful. And I love this style, which, if it doesn't have a name already, we can call it a Perdue. :)

countryfog
Very classic Japanese in its sensibility and brevity, the seasonality and the loneliness bordering on despair. Nicely done.
