The brave bird

I see you singing in the storm
with a word saying "come!"
it's imaginative and brave
it is getting rid of fear
and pain

you are wet and out of breath
winds punishing your face
but you still keep on singing the word
and that is heard
over everything else

Now the tide changes
the earth turns
winds deminish
and birds are back to safe havens

the shore calms
the boats are still

Dawn is now
over is darkness
light kissing you
all over your body

gold is in the morning
when you passed yet another storm

This reads like a bad dream with a happy ending. All the best stories ever written have the same plot. Very nice

I know this is a metaphorical poem, and as such it is beautiful and powerful, but I have seen the courage of birds in nature as well. I remember a tiny humming bird mother or father, with wings spread over the tiny nest filled with minute baby birds during a monsoon storm with rain falling in torrents and the wind shaking the branches. How it held on has stayed in my mind over the years. Such courage! This poem brought that to mind.
Besos.
