Desire as Remainder
I find you seeping out of me:
Enough of you is not ever enough,
Even if
All of you
were to pour into
All of me,
Am aware,
this desire will be the remainder.
My desire for you will remain,
not like a simmering charcoal or ash,
not like a whirlpool or a fountain,
not like the expanse of a desert or
the depth of an ocean;
My desire will remain,
sometimes
like the waves moving to the shore;
sometimes like the shore,
always touched by the waves
and still wanting more.

Just exactly how
If missing you was not enough,I find you seeping out of me:
Enough of you is not ever enough,
Even if
All of you
were to pour into
All of me,
Am aware,
this desire will be the remainder.
My desire for you will remain,
not like a simmering charcoal or ash,
not like a whirlpool or a fountain,
not like the expanse of a desert or
the depth of an ocean;
My desire will remain,
sometimes
like the waves moving to the shore;
sometimes like the shore,
always touched by the waves
and still wanting more.
