Written for a philosophy competition. -30th December 2015.

Be my freedom.

Your eyes shall free me
Like morning dew on Oat Grass
Slipping to the ground;
You must dwell in the coldness
To appreciate the warmth.

this is a beautiful poem, and i can see the philosophical intent.

i respectfully disagree. it isn't necessary to dwell in the cold to appreciate the warmth. we, all of us, have imaginations, and can appreciate the good without experiencing the bad. we do it every day.
