momentary blows to the heart

momentary blows to the heart
bring yet another baleful tale
from the back-burner
and still
soft tissue cannot stipulate
the existence of a perpetual anything

waves on eternal shores without mercy
is not a continuity of this singularity
staggering between despair and no hope
and yet this mad love
this tenderness
that haunts an empty heart

Beautiful pain. How do you do it man? Great emotion and wordplay.

You made me sigh with that last paragraph. So filled with pain and so well articulated. I could feel the blows! Beautiful!

Nice poem. Loved the use of the waves imagery.
