this noisy crowd

this noisy crowd

this noisy crowd
-- I soon shall leave
no one will note
my absence

raptor's
shadow hides
my
retreat

to quiet
place

I listened to their
rhetoric
burned my ears
in -- disbelief

members of living making
-- world worse
a -- full time job
with never a day off

not resting from
their
ken of duty
their folly of thought

anguish for most
under iron heal
walking blind
running sightless

staying up late
making plans
building bombs
they -- the sleepless

count gilded coins
calling them good
cajoling each other
to agree

the madness
this noisy crowd.

Well written Victor!
But, absence will still be noted!

I also feel the noise and often wish for the end of it. The eternal silence seems a bit too long, though. I wonder, how it will be. Peaceful hopefully, quiet, and unfeeling, without memories.
I hope you are well+
