to make of what you will :-)
you and me, a guitar, a song and a lilt
to the crashing waves,
we beachcombed our love
and then afterwards
I boarded a train,
took a taxi in the fast lane
as we drove to the docks
and met you
wearing a lei
of sunshine smiles,
oh to be young
and in love
and watching your slow smile
light up the dawn
I would gilt
and soften lint
just to lie
for another night with you.

Three nights
For three nights we slept on the beachyou and me, a guitar, a song and a lilt
to the crashing waves,
we beachcombed our love
and then afterwards
I boarded a train,
took a taxi in the fast lane
as we drove to the docks
and met you
wearing a lei
of sunshine smiles,
oh to be young
and in love
and watching your slow smile
light up the dawn
I would gilt
and soften lint
just to lie
for another night with you.
