wind of spring

wind of spring

wind of spring comes first
calm ghost of winter

first breath -- first moment
new growth

spring winds
blow out dead wood
last season's death

in nature, in humans
there sighs a sigh of relief

nature is busy
after long winter sleep

flowers bloom
babies born

light grows longer
scents fill
olfactory mind

days pass

wind of spring flows
over ancient ground

many coloured
not subdued

wind of spring blows
past our open window

early morning

enters warm air
new year's gladness

softly, quietly

we all grow older
with each breath

wind of spring
-- a child forever.

A child forever. What a nice sentiment. I liked this poem.
