Stumbling through the weeds

I watch as those I love struggle through loss. Unable to find words to help them cope. I find it hard to watch. Feeling as if I am holding up the pieces, I feel my hands becoming slick with the blood of the wasted. Is this how it is? Growing up and going with the paces, I hope not. I wish I could turn the pages. Yet those around me change their paths. Continue to surprise me. Maybe there’s a way perhaps to all come out together. This battle that faces us, can not be stopped but can be won. The winning side is choosing us and we should come to call. Fight with all we have. Show honor and courage against the odds. I have faith that we can over come, I have faith we will survive. It will take a lot, and our strength will fail at time but together we can face any troubles and come out alive. Together we are a family, we live and breathe and die. But we remain together no matter what and through out the nights. Stumbling through the weeds, searching for the starry lights in a night sky.

Stumbling through the weeds, searching for each others cries. Separated by hard times, we search the dead grass, to find that which caused such a divide.  One by One we find each other, hiding in the weeds. Praying our gods don’t forsake us for all our evil deeds. Yet we forgive each other. We find each other, even through everything. Our love is unconditional, and always forgiving. Stumbling through the weeds, watching Odin’s birds carry away the dead. A carrier for their souls so they may enter Valhalla and be with their warriors again. Drinking from curved horns listening to the music and watching the dancing girls, around fires of magnificent light. Our family is so small, and our fight is so large sometimes I feel over shadowed by all the gods, might. But I have faith in what we are and I have faith in every night. One day this will end and we shall tightly slumber in a peace of which rivals even the brightest summers day.

And here we go, we are on our way, stumbling through the weeds.
