I had seen a pair of eyes long ago and again seeing them and finding the difference in them made me write this poem

Your Eyes

I look at your eyes
I can't help but gaze into them
Two honey coloured wells with
deep waters
They have seen the life at
close quarters
They have suffered treachery by near and dear ones
They have seen the undulating support of fellow beings
I had seen their laughter in the good old times
They were mischivous, flirting with life with ease
Now when I look
they seem to be
slightly sad, slightly distant,
slightly resigned,
slightly vulnerable
And that makes me fall in love
with them all over again

The eyes can tell us everything. Trust what they say.

They say the eyes are the windows of the soul and you have "read them well."
