RAP POETRY REDISCOVERED!
Was it maybe MNM?Who made rap, popular?
For me MNM, did, many will disagree of course!
Gangster Rap, I was used to, heard it did not like it at all!
Then one day, I had a job, cleaning up a flat, it sure was in need of it!
Cople had young children, social services callde us in, to clean up the flat, so they Would be Offered a house
The bloke, had on a rap, CD, put it on repped play!
Now normally, would of driven me MAD! Homersidal!
BUT, I found my self-listening! The raper was telling a story!
Story of a singer of rock & roll, someone like that!
The chriter had a following, many fans, the word ''fan'' , short of fanatic!
The chaiticer, had fanatic, fan!
He wrote letters to his idol, who did not reply!
The fan, went to every gig, in hope catch his eye,sent the souper star notes, received No reply!
Then one day on the news: '' MAN KILLS HIS GIRLFRIEND - POOTS HER BODY IN THE BOOT! THE KILLLS HIM SELF DROV CAR IN TO A RIVIER!
A LETTER WAS FOUND ADRESS TO THE WELL KOWN POP STAR!
The siger was told of this, he went very quiet, fish out the unopend, letters, and one or two he had partly read!
I understood rap, then! Later I found out Rap, is a VERY VERY old form of poetry
Ancient African and Chinese, form of telling stories!
Thats how I came to understand, rap, and appreciate, the form of poetry.
Now many Rap, Rap, out on about this and that, poetry, they can identify with
Sadly, I can not Rap! But, I respect those who can!
