its about twin sisters, and the road to ones acceptance that the other will die. death is easy, greith is eternal

Not without my sister

I had to refuse, couldn't go,
I couldnt leave her all alone.
"Come on, come on" I heard a voice,
but still i stayed, I had not choice.
Sirens playing in my mind,
"Just let her go and she'll be fine".
Both runninmg down a long straight hall.
Both being careful not to fall.
We felt as trapped as we could be,
"There's no way out while you're with me"
I couldn't leave her, I knew I'd miss her,
I wouldn't leave my lovely sister.
After hours of laying by her side,
in the end there was no place to hide.
"Just leave without me, I'll be fine,
I'm out of site but in the mind"
she layed there sprawled out on the floor,
waiting for heaven to knock on the door.
so fast asleep my sister went,
against my arm, her body lent.
I didn't leave my lovely sister,
but I let her go and I will miss her.
out of sight but in my mind,
but at least I know that she'll be fine.
