I traveled to a new country recently and met this wonderful person for whom I wrote this poem.

Some break the barrier of wind
Some burst their shells to breathe in new life
But you grow with dust and strength of your will
Some leaves wither at the mercy of autumn
Some morph into weapons to protect their life
Some float in the river of helpless disbelief
But you bring new punches to fights with grief
Your heart pumps out new joys with every beat
Your thoughts bring smiles like some heroic feat
Your words resplend in a world of tirades
You symbolise the flower that blooms on self-made trails
