Long before Mark Twain became Mark Twain
He were plain Samuel Langhorne Clemens
Living in the county of Hannibal - Missouri - U S A
Now Hannibal , Samuel, knew of no quality inflicted salves
Not that many slaves in Hannibal
Now when Samuel were boy growing up, a slave boy arrived
Highrd out to do work for the local population time to time
The slave boy got on very well with one and all Hannibal
Esperly with young Samauel
BUT just one thing that got on the young Samuel's nerves
Driving -  Samuel mad!

The slave boy - sang - sang with not taking a brake - on and on
He sang oh he sang and he sang all the more!
So much so, he went to talk to his mum, to complain about the boy:
'' Mother dear, that boy, he won't stop - SINGING, HE's DRIVING'' ME MAD! - I CAN NOT TAKE IT NO MORE! '' '' TELL HIM TO STOP
'' SINGING, PLEASE!  ''

How did Samuel's dear mum react?
Well, let me tell you how his dear mother did!
She instantly cried! tears ran down her cheeks!
And she spoke, words, that, young, Samuel, were never to forget - ever!

'' The boy, had been taken clear across the country''
'' Away from his own mother and his own Friends! ''
'' Singing is own way to get over his loss of his mother and those he loved ''
'' When he is quiet, saying not a word, he is in so much pain, Samuel! ''
'' And will never experience''; '' Pain, you can not hope to understand, Samuel.''

Samuel, NEVOR WERE NOT EVOR TO FORGET, HIS MOTHERS WORDS!

He never complained again about the slave boys singing, no - instead he Listened
From then on he stood up against slavery! Rights for women to vote!
Samuel Longhorn Clemens became - Mark Twain!

ARGUABLY  THE FATHER OF HUMAN RIGHTS IN AMERICA!
