Now the end of the year draws near

Yet one winter of much discontent

Looking back we see so much 

Discontent during all the seasons
So no change there
Some will make merry now the year
Is on the turn

Thour will be the coming year, goner
Be any different from this year?
Sadly I think not!
So make merry as best you can!
For next year, well, weeks away!
