A Poem I wrote after visiting Israel when Sharon was president. Nothing changes.

Fallen Angel

He's got young men in gunships above the Golan Heights
Old women in Jerusalem afraid to sleep at night
Young children shouting hateful slogans in the street
Old men at the Wailing Wall with no more tears to weep

No reprieve to the discord the Fallen Angel loves to make
Until the Man of Peace returns to the Golden Gate
So it's masalama Arafat and shalom to Sharon
I'm packing up my mochila happy to be gone

He's got refugees with no place to call home
Ashes in the mouths of all who say shalom
A holy land lost to the demons of war
The barrel of a gun its only law

No reprieve to the discord the Fallen Angel loves to make
Until the Man of Peace returns to the Golden Gate
So it's masalama Arafat and shalom to Sharon
I'm packing up my mochila happy to be gone
