SOME GOOD CAME OUT

Some good has come out of Taking the Knee et all
Books on Black History
Black History Hidden In Plain Sight
Books written centuries ago, long out of print
Now - BACK IN PRINT!
Both Poetry & Prose
Books by slaves - some books by FREED SLAVES!
One book I came across by chance:
Our Nig - Harriet E. Willson - a freed slave, the title hers!
An autobiographical novel - first saw light of day in 1859
Republished in 1981!

Many such books are being rediscovered & being published at Longlast!
Phyllis Wheatley, a poet, I paraquote Phyllis: ' You Ask Me Do I Sing Do I Dance, sir! ''

'' And Sir - We Had Our Religion Long Bore You Took Us - Enlavded Us. Folsed Into Your Religan! ''

Phils, P'd off at the stereotyping!
At long last, about time, more and more books be republished now!
I now have many such books in my growing library!
Black history is just one subject - my own library covers many Subjects & Topics!

Black actors are being cast in dramas TV and major films!
More books back by black authors
The shame is, it took deaths to bring all that about, and it is Shameful!

It will be many a year before we no longer hear and read:
Of - The first Black person to ....!
