I've thought about all the people writing on this wonderful site and all the different backgrounds represented. I can't help but think that from time to time people misunderstand each other because of language, culture, age, background or other differen

Misunderstandings Make Mistakes

You never know
what you say
may hurt someone
on a given day
never mind if you
haven't a clue
if you've offended
or been untrue,
words mean things
differently it seems
to different people
with different dreams
in different places
in different times
in different schemes
in different rhymes
humor to some
means hurt to others
strangers don't know you
likes sisters or brothers,
but try not to look
to take offense
try to see
past the difference
most mean good
most are kind
most want the best
that's what I find
let go of perceptions
that may be wrong
you may have
heard a different song
than the one
that was actually sung
some actions taken
can't be undone.

keith nunes
you make a lot of sense here phyl. from what i've gathered some people have been hurt and that could be because of the list of things you've itemised. we should all watch for this!

Excellent point. But look on the bright side, we get to learn about each other as well as ourselves along the way.
