Love is a Verb

Like a flame it must be tendered
Each and every day.
Keep the fire burning
Or it will fade away.

You cannot trust what someone says,
the truth is plain to see.
It's what someone does that counts
the little things that matter most
how you take your coffee
jam on toast

Day in day out
give and take
ups and downs
listen up and listen good
speak your mind be understood

tit for tat
and lifes not fair
share your dreams together
write your own story
and take the journey to love
one day at a time.
Walk the line.
