The Dying

Wrapped in darkness
heat, sweat
heavy breathing

She moans in my ear
her voice husky
her whisper quiet, shivering

She could have had
anyone
but she chose me
seeing how we
could destroy each other
in that very special way
that lovers do

this is our uniting
departure
now is the forever
that we will spend together

I love you, baby
I love you too

John Ashleigh
Fantastic! Seriously, I could really drum to the stanzas. This makes me feel really depressed, but hopeful at the same time. Well written, as always.
