I wrote this back when I was having a very lengthy poetic writer's block. It was NOT fun, I can tell you that much.

Fire Within

I think I'm losing my touch;
I just can't do this anymore.
it's almost expected now,
Yet I don't know what for.

It's not like I'm that special,
so why should I push on?
All it does is give me stress,
The simplicity long gone.

Everything just used to flow,
Yet the time is going longer.
The fire is starting to move on,
And I can't do this much longer.

The fire is still there,
But the flames are dying down.
Yet I will continue this mad quest,
Until the last flame drowns.

betsy Firefly
I really don't have the slightest worry that you'll be the first to lose your torch. Hold on tightly to it, tho'!
