The fence that I dreamed has now become real
I know this by the pain that I feel.
My heart has been broken
And now I will mend
Now that were only neighbors again
I loved you
I believed in you
Most of all I trusted you.
What a fool I must have been
To ever, ever let you in
Against my better judgment
Against my own advice
What a fool I must have been.
Even now as the pain goes deep
I love you still.
You were my friend
You became my sister.
My heart I'll never lend
Now that this friendship has come to an end.
