avalon

as the sun
set
Nephin
stood
defiant
volcanic
cloud
girt
white
tipped

we pulled
towards
the shore
as
silver bellied
fish flashed
oars cleaving
mica twinkling
sucking seathing
bog water
cloaked
all

behind us
the sky
glowed
blood
red orange
in the gathering
glowering
towering
redolent
gloom

Idly
whilst
waiting
I traced
in the
blackening sand
pictures
impatient strokes
of love
making
heart
breaking
moon
raking
lines
on
shingle
shore
primordial
ethereal
images
of
you

waiting
waiting
waiting

the moon
rose

I slept

you watched

waiting
for
avalon
