Taboo Words

Sleeping beyond midnight dreams
blossom barters ease,
finding little comfort
within duty blown from habit.

She carries a broken wish
pushed to line's end;
waiting, resting fantasy
within mockery.

Weighed, measured - determined.
Has judgment stooped to cold extreme?
Value diminished within
hardened coil; hopes dashed.

Duty blown from habit
finds little comfort nor ease
within bartered blossom.
Midnight dreams wisp beyond sleep.

very interesting Pamela. And, such a challenge to write without those words. I may give it a try myself. The poem is beautifully written. : )
