Your Light
When you look into my eyes
and they smile to drink you in,
see all of me that's offered
from way down deep within.
When my lips brush soft your mouth
tender tasting how yours feel
know the wanting from within;
your heart that I might steal.
When my questions sputter out;
moments not so opportune
understand protective needs
and kiss me into swoon.
When my heart needs to know yours
and I tender caution step
understand of its past wounds,
and balance me from trip.
When I gasp pulling you in
feeling all of you held tight
find my joining with your soul
soft warm within your light.
