STRANGE WEATHER FOR WINTER IN THE ISLE THANET!

More like spring than winter hear in the Isle Thanet

Had a bit of wind , cold and nippy at times

Rained some , been socked through

More like the beginning days of spring

Than being in the mist of winter

Lads and older men in shorts

Very strange

Globule worming I suppose

Wearer I live it's built on chalk

White cliffs of Dover made famous

By Vere Lyn in her songs

World War Two

During world war two

When we have rain , then a frost

Then a sudden thore , the chalk cliffs

Crack , fracture

Then it rains , rain socks through

Freezes , cliffs cracks , fulls , crashes down

In to the beech , the and sea below

Thanet is being reclaimed by the sea

From whence it came

In time , the Isle Thanet will be come as now

''The Goodwins '' an imfamouse sandbank - swallower of many a ship!

The graveyard of many ships , numbers unknown

Many Seaman perished there

Pasngers too , mothers with childrend , died upon

''The Goodwins''

Thanet was referde to has the ''Isle of the dead ''

By the anshant Greek traders at the time of the Roman

Occupations

As they said as they passed the tombs built with the chalk

Great tribal leaders buried beneath

In centcherys to come , ships sailing bye

Will pass , sunken towns , villages , decaying ,

Slow disapering under the sea

Very strange.
