Thanks to Normali , fore reminding me of this experance with a Minke Whale.

WE GATHERD TO SAVE A MINKEY WHALE

We herd by word of mouth

That a whale was stranded

At Pegwel Bay , a mile

Down the coast

We made our way to

See , hopefully help if

We could

When we got their

We found many like

Minded human beings

Their were specialist in

This kind of thing

We stood in waited to walk

In the cold sea , to give of

Our strength , and yes our

Love of the Minke Whale

The hours past , the rescuers

Strugled , gently pulling, pushing

Encurgeing the wale too too swim

Out to sea , how we tried to will her

Her , too swim away too the sea , to life

Evenchaly , the Minke swam a little a way

How we all cheard , many including me

Had tears in our eyes running down our cheeks

How happy we were , smiling and all

Sadly laiter we herd , she'd stranded further

Dow the bay , she died , laiter it was found

She had a parasite , nothing could have been dun

Fore , tears of joy , replaced by tears of grief.

Soup in the Sand
Quite rife with emotion...just imagining this emotional scene. There were some pilot whales that were being treated for infection down in the keys. Volunteers rotated around the clock, standing in the water for three-hour shifts, holding the pilots up in the water. How emotional indeed it is to come together for the aid of another species, especially one we are such aliens to, a part of the water-world. One always wonders what thoughts lay afoot in the mind of the marine mammal there with all these chattering humans around him...so sad indeed, the mention of tears, from joy to grief. Excellent write, indeed!
