do you feel

do you feel the colour
- the lost
or the one we won

steps in a country unknown
new and still
our tracks already in place

do you hear the sounds
ceased in a now
distinct in the end

maybe a play
one without a manuscript
like a letter unopened

search the crowd
and find your eyes sweeping
over realities unseen

so do you feel the colour
with tears and laughter
in a life so short

Kathy Lockhart
such profound thoughts written in abstract but surely understood through self examination and honesty. This is complex yet simple and at the same time deeply moving.

I like this very much; it seems to take me from the shallows of the first three stanzas into deep waters of the last three: the enigmas of stanza 4, the faces but not the lives ("realities") of the crowd in stanza 5, and the enduring truth--that a full life needs tears no less than laughter--of stanza 6

As long as we can feel,
The feelings will be there.
As long as we can see,
the sights will appear.
As long as we can touch,
the form will be there.
As long as the sky is blue,
The rain cloud will appear.
As long as the mountains stand,
The snow clad peaks will show clear...

As long as there is hope
Our joys will not disappear!

Lovely thought provoking poem dear Kath!
(((Hugs)))
Much love,
Zoya
