Falling in love.

Butterflies

Again with those relentless butterflies;
Frantically flapping their wings inside my rib cage,
Searching desperately for an exit.
Beating their wings against my liver,
So that it's awkward to carry a conversation.
Every single time your name barges its way into my thoughts,
Those butterflies awaken,
My tongue stumbles,
The cerebral cortex neglects to function,
and I am at a loss once again.
To look up into those eyes,
and see them returning the gaze...
All of this ridiculous flapping is gladly worth the discomfort.
I indulge in this feeling.
The decadence of being cared for.
This is delectable,
as the butterflies make their way out of my throat.

From darkness to butterflies lighting the skies of our desires.

Wonderful work. Made me smile, just remembering
