Spurned




The hurt will last forever,
and you wish that you could die;
the pretty girl you'll never have
has found another guy.

You've known her forever,
he's known her but awhile;
and even though he is your friend,
he's not her kind of guy.

You cry on her shoulder,
and she heaves a patient sigh.
