See the statue of a weeping angel,
and know the truth about God.
Because this angel dared to rebel
it dared to love, and to descend from far above.

With the burning swords it clashed
in the journey to below.
Wingless to this earth it crashed
to feel love, unlike anything from far above.

See the proof of God's damnation
in this cold, dead stone
hear the lamenting tone
from a mourning angel.

See the proof of God's jealousy
this casement of stone
an angel for love gone
to keep a soul from hell

See this monument to God's creation
which is better than himself.
