Where The Night Will Know

10 o'clock and the loose end's still untied I fear
So I muse for a moment or is it more?
Pass me by present troubles I have to disappear
Through the nearest unknowing so I'll be near

Where the night will know...

Drifting in with the ghost of myself for company
For rejections it's more than enough of me
Down in limbo dance your way or quaff your wine
And I don't mind a let-me-down-lightly line

Where the night will know...

All our lives a lingering sense of loss to lose
And tomorrow could be a make-do-day
When the leaves turn yellow you have to hear the blues -
What is there but to go with you astray

Where the night will know...

Indeed there is a musicality of flow in the lines and repetitions.
