Smiles are free today...

As March winds

Tickled the
Daff-o-dils,

And pollen
Sprayed it's
Surface,

The pond
Gleams
In
Springs'
Delight,

As tadpoles
Gather
At the
Waters
Edge,

And

Smiles
Are
Free
Today...

If they are free, then I'll take 2.

This feels alive with spring, a smiling happy thought that made me.... (what else?) smile.

Rik The PoetBay support member heart!
A clever way to remind us all what we overlook while caught up in the struggle of life. Nature is full of smiles we just have forgotten how to see. A very good write.

McDonalds drive-thru use to say on the board "Smiles are free". So one time my friend and I asked for one. The girl gave us one...must have been one of these day... :)

Trees bloom in full view,
Reeds sway,
Buds smile,
Birds chirp away...
Spring is here to stay...

((((hugs dear Morpheus, this is goes to my heart straight away)))))))

The structure itself, though I found it at first glance difficult. Makes perfect sense, I like the images and the disclaimer that it is ok to smile they are free today. Great poem.
