Thank You Life

Every morning when I open my eyes
I say thank you to life for this gift
Another day begins, it's wonderful
I look outside and I said "like everything is beautiful"

Nature awakens slowly
She is beautiful at night
Make it snow or bright sunlight
It's always of poetry

What chance life gives me every day
To contemplate all these wonders
I appreciate everything around me
Enjoying the melody so sweet in my ear

In the evening when everything becomes calm
I say again thank you to the life of my soul
My thoughts slip slowly
To this world of rest as a child

Each dawn off the stars
Offers the world one thousand lights
Every night that goes down her veil
Sown in my soul a great serenity

The night closes in on me all her tenderness
Slipping quietly under my heavy eyelids
A ray of light wakes me with boldness
Another beautiful day that begins "Thank you life"

This is a truly beautiful piece, Farés.
It touches my soul particularly this evening as I continue to struggle with my health, reminding me that life is a blessing. The tone overall is both uplifting and comforting, and for that I thank you.
