HISTORY HAS IT'S COUNTLESS GHOSTS

History, has with out number , ghosts , of the past

From the distant past , not that long ago

Tells of what was , committed in some ones name or nation

For this or that '' great '' , course , ideology , religions , this or that God

Oh the pains , and so many deaths carry on to this day and will for the morrows

To come

We can but only hope , finely , be learned the many oh so many lessons

From so oh so many , ghosts of history

And oh, what they could teach us, if only we were willing to learn. ~

And them ghosts, they speak
much like the Lady of the Lake.
This morning at school assembly I was in tears as we sang
Advance Australia Fair... the ghosts of Lone Pine were singing through my chest.

ps. I have not forgotten you, my friend. I've been quite busy over the course of this week, but I plan on returning to the reading tonight.

As Santayana (and others) said - those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it. You always remind us how dangerous that is.
