the smell of rye bread
the smell of rye bread,vegetarian burgers
late in the night,
non-gmo certified potato chips
with sea salt and black pepper
and a vanilla flavored soda
i'm too tired to make coffee,
even though i always have to drink the stuff
when i write
we're all ruled by senses, you know
smells and tastes
and the sense of touch
it all brings back a lot of memories,
the smell of rye bread, that is
