STORYTELLING (a work in progres)

Telling a story - spinning a yarn
Some just need that to hear
A convincing well put over story
'Cos - they need to be protected
From the truth
Child or adult - needs must and all that
Over the years I have found I am good
Rather good at on the spot - giving in words
Just what some one needed in words - at the time
Most have known I was just spinning them a line
That line of words - for some - like a string - dangling
In to a sea of troubles - they grabs - helps them hang on
To life - keep on going - hope restored - reinforced
They lapped it up - 'cos at the time - I gave - and give
Just what they needed at the time
I am The Dyslexic Wordsmith - after all said and dun!

Story's handed down - and on - hopefully on to
Generations to generations - and on and on
Each generation - remembering - those who've past this way

And you are a great storyteller Ken. In the same way that tribal elders hold the younger generation mesmerized with tales and knowledge. That is where most meaning education come from :)

The story teller is who carries the history of humanity from one generation to the next and from one tribe to another even when we do it electronically now. :)
