SUDDEN DEATH

Death came
No rhyme no
Reason - given
Out of the blue
Death - came - comes
Daley - nightly - deaths - timing
Never good

No account of deeds good - or bad
Taken in to consideration

No respecter of age
Took that some one
Away
Gave no warning
Just took away
Senseless
That some one was
Now no more
GONE GONE

What was the point?
That person - going along
Trouble to no one
One second - smiling
Saying high - hows it going?
Next second gone - dead - finished!
What were it all about?
Life cut short - before the life had even got in to gear

BANG! OVER! GONE! FINISHED! OVER! ENDED! KAPUT!

Those who know the person - to shocked - to stunned to cry
Yet life go's on - some how

I suppose we never know when the end will be. The greatest mystery about mankind is that we know of death but we never thinks that we will die. That is for other people. You know, the people in the newspaper. Strange.

JK Fisher
Oh, dear Ken,
Death seems to push it's way
Into our lives,
Even when we forget the day,
Or month, or year,
Death creeps into
The deepest part of the soul
That we hide, and cherish.

I hear your heart aching,
And I cried when I read
Your words tonight.

May peace find your sleep,
And may your tomorrow's
Be gentle on your soul...

The suddenness of death always amazes us because it's such a final consequence. As a nurse, I saw the first person die when I was very young. She only shut her eyes and was gone. I couldn't believe it. Where was the struggle, the time to prepare for death? Sometimes it just takes one away, as naturally as being born, but so different. Instead of rejoicing over a new person, we lose one forever.
