When Bert and 'Arry - returned from The War
They went strait ter nearest pub
Bert asked 'Arry - '' what was that all about , 'Arry , mate? ''
'Arry , gulped down a swallow of their beer , look thoughtful in to his beer
'' Hm '' , said 'Arry , '' Search me , old Bert '' , '' I was going to ask you the same fing ''
'' I - don't know - you don't know- '' , '' then who dos?!'' , ''got us both beet"
the reasons what That War was about ''
'' Just bolloxs -then! '' , then said , Bert. '' Recon so , said 'Arry
Then both look reflexivity in to their points , and said no more about it -

Sad, isn't it? All that death and suffering and they can't even think of why. Being a soldier, following orders to kill or be killed. It's not what soldiers want to talk about if when they return but they need to be near each other to feel the sharing of the experience. Strong poem.
