sleep/dreamsspectral fantasies
appear in forms of
dreams
fecundity ~~ firing neurons
proliferous images
in icon -- fetish -- portrait
and portrayal
all playing between ears at midnight
creations in no holds prohibited
realm
of light -- dreary dark
terrifying and breathtaking
barbaric edifices
calm beaches
roaring winds
spate of storms – unforgiving
division of reality/fancy
-- blurred
flattering scenes unrepentant
flicker in mind's scintillating façade
while watcher knows or
doesn't know it
is merely
a dream
fading almost to forgetfulness
upon waking
itching on fringes
of evanescent shroud
with no way to scratch
wondering if it were a
reflective -- mirror-like truth
or mind at play
away from daily wakefulness
of grey world
of work and woe
reaching for peace.
