A Good Time

Sipping a cold one on the deck,
I forgot how good beer tasted.
Looking back at my life
And all the years I've wasted.
How many more left to go?
What have I got to show?

I've got wrinkles where the smiles have been.
I've got grey hair where there's still some.
I've got three ex-wives and bills to pay,
And God knows I get lonesome.
I ain't got much to show.
But you ought to know.
I had a good time, hell yes, I had a good time.

Those college days are still a haze.
My major was fraternal.
Tap a keg and grab some leg,
I should have kept a journal.
I survived, but not sure how.
Where's everybody now?

I've got wrinkles where the smiles have been.
I've got grey hair where there's still some.
I've got three ex-wives and bills to pay,
And God knows I get lonesome.
I ain't got much to show.
But you ought to know.
I had a good time, hell yes, I had a good time.

Live your life with no regrets.
You can't undo what's been done.
Always try to find your smile.
Life's short, go have some fun.
At the end of the day,
You can sit right back and say.

I've got wrinkles where the smiles have been.
I've got grey hair where there's still some.
I've got three ex-wives and bills to pay,
And God knows I get lonesome.
I ain't got much to show.
But you ought to know.
I had a good time, hell yes, I had a good time.
