Written July 2006 in about ten minutes as my ex screamed accusations about a supposed affair over the phone. The monsters that are reffered to in the poem are metaphors for the jelous and irrational thoughts that seem to breed in ones mind. It is almost ironic that this would become one of my favorite poems (that I have written) due to the circumstances of its creation. I think perhaps I am so fond of it because it reminds me a little of my all time favorite poem "Jabberwok".
