Hark the silence speaks!
Listen to the silence of your soul...

Hark the silence speaks!

Prelude:
Hark the silence speaks!
It is strange how silence speaks
differently to different people.
We can say that silence is when
Our soul speaks to us,
Our inner self talks to us...

Hark the silence speaks!

In the dead of the night,
When sleep eludes me
I sit and listen to my self...

I introspect:
My inner voice tells me
the sorrows of my heart.

My soul holds a dialogue with me
Me and myself!
Both of us sit together
My loneliness and I,

And talk to each other

And think of you
And the ways of the world
When the world sleeps on...
And the Time goes by.

In the dead of the night
When the Time moves slowly,
My heart moves fast,
My mind races through-
Through the hours
The days,
The years,
The eons of Time...
I sit and contemplate

On life
On love,
On hurt,
On happiness
On Joy,
On my wonder at this world
As the Time goes by...

Hark listen to the silence of the night,
In those suspended moments of time,
It tells you so much...

Listen to the silence of your soul...

This is sooooo splendiferous, Zoya! I love silence as a way to be peaceful and as a healing power...theres so much to hear if you just take the time to listen, and being alone with your soul and the silence can ease so many hurts...great write!

Zoya, thank you for writing this amazing piece that speaks to my soul. You say the things I feel. You feel the things I say. The silence is a companion to both of us as it is to so many others. The din of silence can be deafening, comforting, peaceful, unnerving, reflective, truth. It is as you say, "We can say that silence is when
Our soul speaks to us,
Our inner self talks to us..."
What a profound and brilliant statement you have written! ~bookmarked~ not only on this site but on my soul and heart as well. xxx kathy

zoya so deep so profound and your excellent sense of rythm keeps the text flowing.
and it reminds me of my grandfathers saying when you are most alone
you are deafened by the silence well done for reminding me of him rgds mike
