The wait begins... Once more...
Will we NEVER learn!

A Night Of Dreadful Watching

On this Hekate's eve of apocalypse
Dark foreboding forces soar
Throughout a world of myopic lapse
Infernos of Dante's hypnotic horror

Where leaders traipse in false array
Brandishing sabres singing patriot songs
Seeking power in gnostic's way
Inflaming crowds with historic wrongs

Yet another déjà vu inflicted
All played in gore ad infinitum
Since men's souls were first addicted
To leaders singing a bloodied anthem

No we never learn. I think we have been taught to expect disappointment. Like some surreal pantomime. Very nicely done.

Yes, the powers that are know the Gnostic things the rest of the populous are not allowed to get informed of.

A dire prophesy. Well said, Joe.

Hi Joseph. It's good to see you here again. Your very eloquent poem is the question of the ages. Mankind will always be at war. It seems that part of the population always demands it while the other finds it abhorrent, most of us here seem to be in the latter group. Greed and power are still winning while the rest of us lose.
A very strong poem.

This is an excellent poem in all ways. The question you pose, "Will we NEVER learn," seems self-evident, but . . . time will tell. Something has to fundamentally change.

It's great to see your name pop up.
