Rapsodious Day
The wind caresses this august day
Cooling a sun drenched scape Of towering pines
Sentinels to Manicured gardens running riot
With countless late summer zinnias.
Popcorn clouds race to vaporous strands.
Small birds cavort in an impossible lapis azure sky.
This day contages joy and dance
Freedom from any chance of darkness dredge or doom.
For here lives life in every constant bloom
