Eye Color

Or so I've always felt;
But Christabel's blue eyes are ice--
So fair to see them melt!

Well done, Rob. It's tough enough to write a good quatrain, much tougher still to write one which stands and makes sense on its own.

The pacing and syllable-stresses are so pleasantly precise. This reads like a dream. The appeal of color relies so much on the one wearing it. I was always partial to the high drama of blue, but am finding brown eyes deep and rich and full of subtle delights these days.
