they shout and scream
they climb the stairway
to an escalating battleground
words have fallen
into the wrong hands
they beat each other
over the head
with them
the drain is leaking
and they just cannot
stop the drip
like an infant
who's diaper needs changing
that is the smell between them
and the ugliness
that shows itself
between them
its frightening!
