Final chapter
Voices intertwined, language spoken unknown to man, eyes raised to the heavens, earth and rocks swirling about, hitting, hurting, the fallen.
Young Angel cries in pain as she is beaten, bruised, bleeding, feeling stripped of all she was, wings burn from unearthly fire.
Such pain Amber did feel on the inside and out, only equal to the joy she did feel in her innocence she once had, then came a crimson tear.
Amber now knelt, anguish coursing through every fiber of her being, delicate hands covering angelic face to hide the crimson river.
" Please forgive me Father, for I never meant to hurt or shame You " is the only words to escape quivering mouth.
She felt hand upon shoulder, no reason to look or worry, for all her pain was gone and only Father can do this.
" Child, the reason I named You Amber was because I knew You would burn bright and hot like the star crossing the heavens, to quickly burn out ."
" But, in the ashes is always one Amber to reignited the fire, to burn hotter, brighter, stronger, " was all Father said and she no longer felt his touch.
As if lifted by hands unseen, she rose like the fiery bird of lore rising from the ashes and began to glow from within, brighter and brighter.
Bruises faded, gown made anew, powerful wings spreading wide and high, lifting her to the Heavens, to home, to wait for ber day to return, wiser, stronger and more loving.
